Celebrating the Adventure of Life through Great Food and Drink in the Great Outdoors

Johnny Aspra, fondly known as the Epicurean Cowboy, led an extraordinary life that began in the picturesque Texas hill country. His passion for horses, hunting, and outdoor cooking shaped his adventurous spirit, which took him to the shores of Santa Barbara, California, at just seventeen. After attending Santa Barbara City College and pursuing football, Johnny embarked on a journey to Italy to play professionally and ultimately traveling throughout Europe where he embraced new cuisines and formed lasting bonds with those he met. Upon returning to Santa Barbara, he founded Epicurean Cowboy Catering, a vibrant reflection of his love for food and storytelling, turning every meal into a shared memory.
